HERBAL TEAS
FESTIVAL OF THE MIND TEAS - each cup is a journey, each sip an experience - it's a festival of the mind!
This selection of wonderful teas each has a story to go with it's exceptional taste!  Clark spent a LOT of time on that mountain, so in addition to coming up with his own delicious teas to brew, the story for each is also a bit of creativity from the mountain man about his life and times.  These lovely teas are rich in vitamins and minerals and do not contain caffeine!  Each bag of loose herbs makes about 19 cups of tea.  At only $5 - you'll want to try them all!

MORNING FLIGHT OF THE SUN EAGLE
The sun eagle must work hard for his pleasures when the fog hangs heavy on the mountain.  He knows that this morning he will not soar unless he can rise above it.  It's a great effort just to move his wings in such thick air, but he churns and the fog swirls behind him. Higher he goes not knowing how far it will be.  The he breaks through into the bright sunlight and picks up speed as the water drops from his wings making a vapor trail behind him.  The sun heats his body and he begins to soar.  He looks down but he can't see the hermit's cabin hidden in the morning fog.  This tea is my toast to the eagle that soars beyond my sight.
SEVENTEENTH RAPTURE OF THE STONE DRAGON
The Stone Dragon guards the Ginseng Garden for the Mountain Spirit.  Being made of stone, the dragon can't move, so it is all within the mind.  His pleasures are many but they can't be seen or even comprehended by man, however, they can be felt & experienced when the Stone Dragon so desires.  Once one has established contact with the Stone Dragon, which may be from the mere knowledge of his existence, and then has unexplained feelings of joy, pleasure, and well being - these come from the Stone Dragon.  The Dragon must almost continuously project these good feelings to maintain a proper balance with the unspeakable torment that he can create within the mind of those who come to the mountain intent on evil.  This delicious tea is the Stone Dragon's seventeenth rapture.
GIFT OF THE MOUNTAIN SPIRIT
High up on the mountain, along the ginseng trail the mountain spirit can be found by those who are ready to receive his gift.  Upon the large flat rock, where the wood nymph dance, the keeper of the ginseng sat to rest for a moment.  There was an excitement in the song of the bird and just above the sound of the breeze a whisper can be heard.  “Your work is good so you must carry on.  Gather the fruit from the small twisted limbs of the highest tree on the mountain and brew this with the oldest ginseng root that can be found.  Drink this nectar from my garden, be pure, and your life will be long.”
TROPICAL DREAM
When the cold autumn wind blows under the door and through the cracks in the hermit’s mountain cabin, foretelling the winter hardships to come, he closes his eyes and dreams of another time.  A time of tropical islands, warm breezes, brilliant sunsets reflected on a white sand beach and the feel of a love long ago.  Taste the tropical dream, taste the memory of an almost forgotten love.
STARLIGHT ROSE
On a very special night, while the lonely hermit sleeps, the stars align themselves as a staircase on which the Star maiden may descend to visit the Ginseng garden bringing her gift of the Starlight Rose for the enjoyment of the Mountain Spirit.  In morning light only the scattered petals remain as a reminder of the love.  The lonely hermit gathers these precious petals for his tea and prays that one night the Star maiden will bring her gift to him.
MIDNIGHT DANCE OF THE DOLPHINS
Listen to the Sea sprite as she calls for the mountain spirit to return to the sea and join with her in the midnight dance of the Dolphins. Was it just a dream?  He covers his ears and closes his heart, pretending not to hear.  For he knows that one can never return.  With this delicious tea, I have tried to capture their moment of so long ago.  Enjoy it now, and savor every drop, for it may never come around again.
NIGHT OF ONE THOUSAND JOYS
On the north coast of Borneo, along the South China Sea, lies the country of Brunei.  It is ruled by a Sultan who is said to be the world’s richest man, and his subjects all bring him gifts.  The natives are Iban, Dayak, or Sea Dayak tribesmen.  Their gift to the Sultan is a tea which they call “Saribu malam suka hati” Thiis translates to either “night of one thousand joys” or “one thousand nights of joy”.  Some just call it “angat” which means HOT!
